Piccadilly Circus, l'ombelico del mondo !!!

È una strada di congiunzione, uno spazio pubblico costruito nel 1819 per collegare Regent Street con Piccadilly. 

"The Circus" deriva dalla parola latina che significa cerchio, è uno spazio aperto rotondo in un raccordo stradale. 

È molto vicino alle aree di maggior divertimento e shopping nel West End. 

Piccadilly circus è un luogo di incontro affollato, una attrazione turistica ed è conosciuta per i video display ed insegne al neon, come pure per la fontana "Shaftesbury Memorial" e la statua di Anteros (che erroneamente si pensava fosse quella di Eros).

Piccadilly Circus is a road junction and public space of London's West End. It was built in 1819 to connect Regent Street with Piccadilly. "The Circus" from the Latin word meaning "circle", is a round open space at a street junction. It is closer to major shopping and entertainment areas in the West End. Piccadilly circus is a busy meeting place, a turist attraction and is Konwn for is its video display and neon signs, as well as the Shaftesbury Memorial Fountain and statue of Anteros (mistakenly believed to be of Eros).
